Fear, Honor, and Profit: Rethinking Conflict and Cooperation in International Relations, a talk with Annette Freyberg-Inan, represents a commitment to seeking solutions that encourage a process of agreements among nations, where the common interest is humanity as a whole. States are obliged to design policies that lead to peace and the well-being of their citizens. Certainly, current policies do not promote these goals; on the contrary, they focus on power, domination, and economic factors, without considering the collateral damage to entire populations that end up in the most deplorable conditions. All of this must change.
