Walter Alberto Pengue is full professor of Ecological Economics and Agroecology of the Ecology Area at the National University of General Sarmiento and director of GEPAMA (Landscape and Environmental Ecology Group) at the University of Buenos Aires. He is also a member of the Argentine Academy of Environmental Sciences and scientific coordinator of IPBES (Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services, Nexus) and IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Round 6).
